AHA BLS Provider Licensing



American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider Course Details:
The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.



Preparing for the Course
Before starting the BLS Provider Licensing Process, it is highly recommended that you purchase the American Heart Association BLS Provider Manual to help ensure your success in the class. This manual is available in both digital and hard copy formats. Please visit the AHA products page to purchase:

Step 1:
To start the licensing process please visit this link to purchase and complete the online BLS Heart Code Class. Cost: $34.00 (Product # 20-3553): https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-bls
Once you complete the online class you will be able to print out a certificate of completion which you must bring to your CPR/AED Skills Test.
